Privacy Policy — Outfit AI

This Privacy Policy explains how Virtual Minds ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Outfit AI mobile app (the "App"). By using the App you agree to this Policy.

Plain-language summary. Outfit AI is a personal wardrobe and AI styling app. You photograph clothes you own; we use AI to organize them, suggest outfits, estimate value, and rate looks. Your photos and closet are stored in your private account and are sent to our AI providers only to deliver these features. We do not sell your personal information. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the App at any time.

1. Who we are

The App is operated by Virtual Minds. If you have questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at support@virtualminds.tech.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the App needs to work.

a. Content you provide

• Photos — images of your garments and outfits that you take or upload, and (optionally) a profile photo. These are used to identify pieces, build and render looks, estimate value, and rate outfits.
• Wardrobe data — item names, categories, colors, brand, condition, and other details you add or that our AI infers from your photos.
• Style profile — onboarding answers (goals, style preferences, occasions, sizes), an optional public handle, and looks you create, save, or favorite.

b. Purchase information

• Your subscription status for Outfit AI Pro (whether active, the plan, trial state). Payments are processed by Apple or Google — we never receive your full payment-card details. Subscription state is managed through RevenueCat.

c. Usage and device information

• Analytics events — how you use features (e.g., screens viewed, looks generated, purchases), collected via PostHog to improve the App.
• Approximate location — derived from your IP address (city-level) to show local weather. We do not use precise GPS/CoreLocation.
• Identifiers — a randomly generated app user ID (anonymous), and, only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device advertising identifier.

We do not collect your name, contacts, precise location, health data, or biometric/face-recognition data. Full-body and outfit photos are treated as photos, not facial-recognition data.

3. How we use your information

• Provide the core features: digitize your wardrobe, generate and rate outfits, estimate item value, and surface shoppable suggestions.
• Personalize styling to you (for example, tailoring suggestions using cues from the photos you provide).
• Process and validate your subscription and unlock Pro features.
• Understand usage, fix bugs, and improve the App.
• Communicate with you about support requests.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues, and comply with law.

We do not use your photos or wardrobe to train third-party foundation models.

4. AI processing of your photos and text

To deliver AI features, relevant content is sent securely to our AI processors:

• Anthropic (Claude) — analyzes garment/outfit photos and text to identify items, plan looks, score outfits, and estimate value.
• Replicate — generates look/try-on imagery from prompts and, where applicable, images.
• Serper — performs visual and keyword product searches to surface shoppable items.

These providers process your content only to return a result to you and act as our service providers. Keys and calls are server-side; the App never exposes provider credentials.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, each bound to use it only for that purpose:

We also provide affiliate shopping links (see Section 6). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public. If we are involved in a merger or acquisition, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

6. Affiliate and shopping links

Some suggestions include links to buy items from third-party retailers such as Amazon. These open in your browser. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases. When you follow such a link, the retailer's own privacy policy governs your activity on their site. We disclose this in the App wherever these links appear.

7. Data retention

We keep your content and account data for as long as your account exists. Temporary images sent for AI processing are used to generate your result and are not retained by our AI providers for training. When you delete your account, we delete your wardrobe, looks, favorites, and associated stored photos. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your choices and rights

• Delete your account and data — Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your wardrobe, looks, and data from our systems.
• Permissions — you control camera, photo-library, and tracking access in your device settings.
• Analytics/tracking — you may decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt; core features still work.
• Manage your subscription — through your Apple or Google account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under the GDPR in the EEA/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California). You can exercise these by using the in-app deletion tool or by emailing support@virtualminds.tech. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on your private account. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.

10. Children

Outfit AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
